Radio Amateur day supporting Jamboree on the Air 2023 in Rethymnon city.

At 21 of October 2023, Radio amateurs of Crete supported the annual action of the scouts – Jamboree on the Air.

With the help of my friend Nikos SY9EES, we set up our base in the town square, with the Radio Carrying Case containing a Yaesu 991A Radio Transreciever with Tuner and power supply, while we also installed a dipole antenna for the HF bands of 40m and 20m, as well as a Diamond antenna for the VHF and UHF bands.

The contacts were made during lunch hours with corresponding scout systems from other regions of Greece as well as Cyprus.
